HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN
The Bible tells us that we are all sinners. We were born with a "want to" to do bad things and it doesn't take long for us to show it. Sin is anything that you think, say, or do that displeased God. Some examples of sin would be lying, stealing, disobeying your parents or teachers, swearing, hating others, coveting (wanting something that someone else has), gossiping, etc. Everyone has done one or more of these things.
God made heaven and He wants everyone to live there, but since it is a perfect place, no sin is allowed. That means that unless we get rid of our sin, we can't go to heaven. Thankfully God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sin.
"For
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." John
3:16
Having your sins forgiven and being saved is as easy as A, B, C...
Acknowledging
you are a sinner--
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Believing
on the Lord Jesus Christ, that He died for you and rose again.--
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Calling on the Lord to save you--
Romans 10:13 "For, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
When you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to save you, you are "born again" into God's family.
John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, the them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name."
